Oxcombe Visitor Centre

Oxcombe has long been a popular destination for people exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds, as well as attending creative classes.

We are excited to announce that over winter we have been developing a unique heritage-meets-art Visitor Centre, in the newly-renovated coach house.

Funded by Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL), the visitor centre uses commissioned artworks, original artefacts and replica objects to share some of Oxcombe’s history as an age-old settlement in this National Landscape.

We aimed to create an immersive space, which honours the history of the Lincolnshire Wolds and inspires everyone to find out more.

When are we Opening?

Free to visit, the Visitor Centre will be regularly open Tuesday – Saturday, when classes are taking place in the Top Studio.

We are opening our doors from Sunday 17 May, when the first of a series of walks are taking place as part of the Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival. Geologist Paul Hildreth will be leading ‘A Walk Through Time’ Oxcombe geology walks on 17 and 19 May, sharing some of his original research for the project, and Nicki Jarvis, will be leading an ‘Historic Oxcombe’ walk on 24 May.

To find out more (and book a place on the geology walks) go to woldsoutdoorfestival.com

More details of the Visitor Centre will be available here soon.
