What you will learn ?

This masterclass has been created to solve this dilemma by enhancing your skills and deepening your understanding of how to use and combine a range of materials. By doing so, this process of using mixed media will enrich and invigorate your artistic approach to making your art.
- Focused tuition on how to integrate colour, add texture and create cohesion into your work by using the process of mixed media art.
- How to use and experiment with different surface materials to explore the effect they have on the materials you use so that they can be an integral part of your work.
- Identify the materials and methods of application that work for you to create your unique toolkit to move forward in your art practice.
Who is it aimed at ?
From complete beginners creating art to more experienced artists. This masterclass will expand your knowledge of working with an exciting range of materials to develop your own creative practice.
What will I take away ?
A series of studies that explores your experimentation in mixed media that will be a resource of reference and development to progress working with mixed media. A finished mounted artwork ready to be framed.
What do I need to bring ?
Oxcombe provides aprons, towels, etc, but please ensure you wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy. The masterclass involves handling art materials. If you want to wear gloves, please bring them.
